Reachโ is one in a collection of original monoprints on paper by emerging artist Kane McLay, exclusive to Curious Egg. Each piece is a unique and original artwork. This piece comes framed in a dark brown/black wooden framed which has been made especially for the works and sets it off beautifully.
Observing the human form through drawing, painting and printmaking. My aim is to make work that portrays the animalistic and primitive parts of ourselves that make up the โbeingโ in all animal and human life. Kane McLay
Kane McLay graduated in 2017 from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design in Dundee Scotland with a BA Hons in Fine Art. Taught under the renowned artist and playwright John Byrne, Kane was awarded the John Kinross Scholarship to Florence, Italy. Kaneโs work is at its simplest, an intense study of the magnificent โmachineโ that is the human body but look closer and the inky, awkward marks and jarring lines make it just possible to access the โanimalโ that exists within all of us.
