Originally hand-painted by Yoshizawa| a textile designer born in Tokyo/Japan and now based in Helsinki| Plato captures the drama of an artist at work. The fine detailing retains the confident movement of the brush and grain of the paint. The artist comments: My works are inspired by shapes| textures and colours I see in my Scandinavian surroundings. I like working with simple yet energetic elements created by hand| such as paint strokes and paper cut-outs. I see the walls just like a big canvas on which I directly paint.
